Studio Manager

Job Overview:

A highly organized and skilled Studio Manager is sought to oversee and manage the operational and technical aspects of educational studios. The ideal candidate helps create a conducive learning environment, ensures the smooth delivery of educational content, and supports faculty and students in utilizing studio resources. 

Key Responsibilities:

Studio Operations Management:

• Overseeing daily studio operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility upkeep.
• Ensuring studios are clean, organized, and properly equipped for educational activities, such as lectures, recordings, and workshops.
• Managing and maintaining studio equipment and supplies, ensuring functionality and addressing any technical issues promptly.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Providing technical assistance to faculty and students using studio equipment and software.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to audio, video, and other studio equipment.
• Having working knowledge of relevant educational technologies and media production tools, such as OBS (Open Broadcaster Software).

Scheduling and Coordination:

• Scheduling studio time for educational needs, including lectures, recording sessions, and student projects.
• Coordinating with faculty, staff, and students to ensure efficient use of studio resources.

Team Management (if applicable):

• Supervising and training studio staff, ensuring they can support studio operations.
• Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment within the studio team.

Budget Management (if applicable):

• Managing studio budgets and expenses, potentially including invoicing and financial reporting.
• Policy and Procedure Implementation:
• Developing and implementing studio policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation.

Collaboration:

• Collaborating with other departments within the educational institution to support broader educational goals and initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Staying updated on the latest advancements in educational technology and media production techniques to enhance studio operations and offerings. 

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., media production, technology management, education) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in studio management or a related field, preferably in an educational or media production environment.
• Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of studio equipment and software (e.g., audio/video equipment, OBS, system configuration).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, students, and staff.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with educational technology and its application in a studio setting.
