Structural Engineer (Steel Structures)

We are for a skilled Structural Engineer (Steel) to perform structural design and analysis for industrial and commercial projects. The role involves designing safe and cost-effective steel structures, coordinating with architects and MEP teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures using STAAD Pro and Idea Statica.

• Prepare and review design calculations, connection designs, and fabrication drawings.

• Coordinate with architects, MEP, and project management teams to ensure seamless design integration.

• Ensure design compliance with applicable codes (IS, BS, AISC, Eurocode).

• Participate in design reviews, shop drawing validation, and site coordination.

• Conduct structural audits, load checks, and issue technical clarifications.

• Support project documentation and assist in preparation of BOQs and design reports.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in steel structure design and detailing (industrial, plant, or commercial projects).

• Proficiency in STAAD Pro, Idea Statica (connection design), and AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of IS / AISC / BS / Euro standards.

• Good understanding of structural behavior, load paths, and connections.

• Strong , coordination, and communication skills.

Education & Experience

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering (M.E. / M.Tech preferred for senior roles).

• 2 – 10 years of relevant experience in steel structure design and detailing.

Preferred Background

• Experience in industrial structures, steel plants, process buildings, conveyors, or pipe racks.

• Exposure to 3D modeling tools or BIM is an added advantage.
