Structural Engineer (Steel Structures)

As a Structural Engineer (Steel) at our company, you will be responsible for performing structural design and analysis for industrial and commercial projects. Your role will include designing safe and cost-effective steel structures, collaborating with architects and MEP teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and project standards. Key Responsibilities: - Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures using STAAD Pro and Idea Statica. - Prepare and review design calculations, connection designs, and fabrication drawings. - Coordinate with architects, MEP, and project management teams to ensure seamless design integration. - Ensure design compliance with applicable codes (IS, BS, AISC, Eurocode). - Participate in design reviews, shop drawing validation, and site coordination. - Conduct structural audits, load checks, and issue technical clarifications. - Support project documentation and assist in preparation of BOQs and design reports. Required Skills & Competencies: - Strong experience in steel structure design and detailing (industrial, plant, or commercial projects). - Proficiency in STAAD Pro, Idea Statica (connection design), and AutoCAD. - Knowledge of IS / AISC / BS / Euro standards. - Good understanding of structural behavior, load paths, and connections. - Strong coordination and communication skills. Education & Experience: - B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering (M.E. / M.Tech preferred for senior roles). - 2 - 10 years of relevant experience in steel structure design and detailing. In addition to the above information, the preferred background for this role includes experience in industrial structures, steel plants, process buildings, conveyors, or pipe racks. Exposure to 3D modeling tools or BIM is considered an added advantage.,
