Job Description

Role Overview: As a Store Supervisor in a manufacturing setting, your main responsibility will be overseeing all aspects of the store's operations. This includes focusing on inventory management, team leadership, and ensuring material availability for production. Your role will involve managing inventory and stock levels, supervising and training store staff, maintaining warehouse organization and safety, collaborating with other departments, and resolving discrepancies to prevent production delays. Key Responsibilities: - Inventory and stock management: Oversee the receiving of deliveries, perform stock checks, maintain accurate inventory records, and control the disbursement of materials to prevent production delays. - Staff supervision and training: Supervise and guide store personnel, assign tasks, evaluate performance, train new employees on procedures, and ensure staff are properly trained and motivated. - Warehouse operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes managing the use and maintenance of equipment. - Cross-departmental collaboration: Liaise with other departments, such as production and purchasing, to ensure material needs are met and to resolve any supply or delivery issues. - Reporting and administration: Prepare reports on stock levels, staff performance, and operational efficiency. Maintain records and compose correspondence related to store activities. - Problem-solving: Resolve discrepancies in orders, deliveries, and requisitions. Handle issues related to damaged goods and implement solutions to maintain smooth operations. Qualifications Required: - Leadership and management: Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills are essential to motivate and guide the staff effectively. - Organizational and detail-oriented: Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail are necessary for managing inventory, records, and daily operations. - Technical proficiency: Knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse systems is crucial. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems may also be required. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed for interacting with staff, management, and other departments. - Problem-solving: The ability to analyze situations, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical solutions is critical for a smooth-running operation. - Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is often required, sometimes with a preference for experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.,
