Store Manager

As a Store Manager for the lift production unit in Chennai, your role involves overseeing inventory and material management to ensure efficient operations and support seamless production flow. Key Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day store operations including inbound and outbound logistics. - Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, and material movements using ERP systems. - Coordinate with procurement, production, and quality departments for timely availability of materials. - Monitor and control stock levels to minimize costs and avoid shortages or overstocking. - Implement and uphold 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards in the store area. - Oversee material handling equipment and ensure adherence to proper storage procedures. - Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile any discrepancies. - Lead a team of store assistants and forklift operators, providing training and guidance as required. - Generate reports on stock movement, slow-moving/non-moving items, and consumption trends. - Ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations related to material storage. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in store/inventory management, preferably in heavy manufacturing or elevator/lift production. - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office. - Strong organizational and leadership skills. - Knowledge of ISO, lean manufacturing, and safety protocols is advantageous.
