Store Manager (Dark Store Operations)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

The Store Manager's duties revolve around logistics, inventory, people management, and operational efficiency:

• Operations Management:
• Overseeing the day-to-day workflow to ensure efficient order picking, packing, and dispatching.
• Implementing and monitoring performance metrics (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in operations.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the warehouse environment.
• Optimizing store layout and processes for maximum space utilization and faster fulfillment times.
• Inventory and Supply Chain:
• Managing and overseeing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, stock rotation, and availability to meet demand.
• Implementing logistics optimizations to enhance supply chain efficiency, often involving quick commerce and last-mile delivery processes.
• Minimizing shrinkage (loss of inventory) and waste, especially for perishable goods.
• Team Leadership and Management:
• Supervising, guiding, and motivating a diverse team of employees (pickers, packers, delivery staff, etc.).
• Hiring, training, and developing staff to maintain high performance and service standards.
• Creating efficient work schedules and managing workforce optimization to handle demand fluctuations.
• Technology Integration:
• Proficiency with e-commerce platforms, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and digital inventory management systems.
• Leveraging technology and data analytics to streamline operations, predict demand, and enhance customer experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience (often 3-5+ years) in retail operations, warehouse management, quick commerce, or logistics.
• Leadership: Strong team management, coaching, and motivational skills.
• Operational Know-How: Extensive knowledge of supply chain, inventory control, and last-mile delivery processes.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with e-commerce and inventory/warehouse management software.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to use data to solve problems, analyze performance metrics, and implement process improvements.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand, and constantly evolving environment.
