Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of all items in the store, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring sufficient supplies are available to meet the hospital's needs. Receiving and Storage: Receiving deliveries of goods, verifying their quantity and quality against order information, and storing them in appropriate locations according to established procedures. Issuing and Distribution: Fulfilling requisition orders from various hospital departments, ensuring timely distribution of supplies to the appropriate locations, and maintaining records of all issues. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and adjustments, using manual or electronic systems. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures, including those related to storage, handling, and disposal of medical and non-medical supplies. Inventory Control: Implementing measures to prevent loss, damage, or spoilage of supplies, such as monitoring expiration dates and rotating stock. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborating with other hospital departments, particularly purchasing and procurement teams, to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Physical Handling: May involve some physical effort, such as moving boxes and cages, but lifting equipment and training are typically provided.
