Job Description

Solar Store In-Charge We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Solar Store In-Charge to oversee the management and operations of our solar project warehouse. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient storage, handling, and dispatch of solar components, contributing to the seamless execution of solar installations. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, including solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and tools. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical counts with system records. Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or other inventory management practices to minimize material wastage. Material Handling & Storage Ensure proper storage conditions for all materials, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. Oversee the safe loading and unloading of materials, coordinating with site teams to prevent damage. Organize materials efficiently to facilitate easy access and minimize retrieval time. Procurement Coordination Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials based on project schedules. Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions to replenish inventory as needed. Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed records of stock movements, including GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), MRNs (Material Receipt Notes), and dispatch logs. Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management, highlighting stock levels, usage trends, and potential shortages. Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements. Team Supervision & Training Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient work practices. Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure timely and accurate completion of duties. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the warehouse team. Quality Control & Compliance Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with specifications. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to material quality or quantity. Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Required Qualifications & Experience Education : Bachelors degree in any discipline (preferably in Commerce, Business Administration, or Engineering). Diploma in Material Management or Logistics is an advantage. Experience : Experience in store or warehouse management, preferably in the solar or construction industry. Familiarity with solar components and project requirements is highly desirable. Technical Skills : Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word). Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally) is a plus. Soft Skills : Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Attributes Experience with solar project logistics and material handling. Understanding of safety standards and quality control procedures in warehouse operations. Ability to adapt to dynamic project timelines and requirements.
