Store Assistant

Managing inventory and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and organization, assisting with receiving and storing deliveries, supporting staff with operational tasks, and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment to support efficient restaurant operations

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management:Receiving, unpacking, and properly storing food supplies, beverages, and operational equipment.
• Stock Control:Monitoring stock levels, conducting periodic inventory checks, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Organization & Cleanliness:Maintaining a well-organized and clean storage area, as well as supporting the restaurant's overall hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Supply & Order Assistance:Assisting with placing orders for necessary supplies and coordinating with vendors.
• Operational Support:Supporting kitchen staff with food and beverage preparation tasks and ensuring all operational equipment is in working order.
• Safety & Compliance:Adhering to food safety regulations and ensuring equipment is used safely and correctly.

Required Skills

• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Clearly communicating with staff, management, and vendors.
• Organizational Skills: A strong ability to organize, track, and manage inventory effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate inventory counts, record-keeping, and maintaining standards.
• Basic Math Skills: For managing inventory and supplies.
• Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively with other restaurant staff.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to lift and move heavy items as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Education: Typically a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar storage/inventory role is often desirable.
• Certifications: A background in supply chain management or inventory control can be beneficial
