Job Description

As a Storage Operations Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality, and governance standards. You will lead the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence to ensure unparalleled customer experiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Possess a good number of years of experience in Storage Environments, specifically SAN and NAS. - Hands-on experience with SAN and NAS Technologies such as Pure, PAMX, Unity, Brocade, Cisco, Isilon, and NetApp Storage. - Experience with provisioning, decommissioning, migrations, commissioning, and troubleshooting SAN and NAS environments. - Proficient in zoning on Brocade and Cisco Directors/switches and troubleshooting. - Strong issue identification, analysis, and troubleshooting skills. - Coordinate with different storage vendors to resolve issues. - Handle Major Incident calls and work until Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is known and issues are fixed. - Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceFirst. - Monitor log files and manage performance issues for critical systems. - Efficiently manage shift activities and handle Major Incidents. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree is a must. - Understanding and experience working on Windows and UNIX OS platforms. - Ability to work effectively across time zones and geography. - Experience with backup technology (TSM, Rubrik, Data Domain & ECS) and knowledge of Virtualization & Cloud technologies is a plus. As a Storage Operations Engineer at Barclays, you will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems. Your accountabilities will include development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions, incident management, automation, security implementation, teamwork, and continuous learning.
