Stone Crusher and Mining Supervisor

We are looking for a Stone Crusher and Mining Supervisor to oversee the operations of a quarry and crushing plant, focusing on safety, productivity, and compliance, by managing crew schedules, coordinating stone extraction and delivery, ensuring crusher and machinery maintenance, and conducting safety inspections. Key responsibilities include managing resources, leading teams, and resolving operational issues to meet production targets and maintain equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management: Oversee stone extraction from the quarry and manage the crushing process to produce aggregates (like gravel and sand) according to production targets.

Crew Supervision: Schedule and manage mining and crushing crews, providing direct oversight, coordination, and support to ensure efficient operation during their shift.

Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations, conduct safety inspections, and ensure all activities adhere to statutory requirements.

Equipment Maintenance: Accountable for the maintenance and repair of crushers, heavy machinery, and other equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.

Logistics and Coordination: Coordinate with the mining team for the timely delivery of boulders to the crusher and manage the dispatch and delivery of crushed materials to customers.

Resource Management: Effectively manage men, machinery, and spare parts to optimize the profitability of the operation.

Reporting and Communication: Maintain logs, report incidents, and communicate clearly between ground crews and management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Proven hands-on experience in hard stone crushers and mining operations.

Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of crusher repair and maintenance, including equipment like jaw crushers and screens.

Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and build a team for effective production.

Problem-Solving: Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges.

Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with crews and management.

Technical Background: Often requires a background in mechanical engineering, mining engineering, or a diploma in a related field.

Work Environment

Field-Based: This is primarily a field job, requiring work at the mining and crushing site.

Hands-On: Involves working with and around heavy equipment.

Demanding: Tasks can be physically demanding and require working long hours.
