Job Description


The Reporting Engineer will be a crucial link between on-site operations and management, responsible for accurate, timely, and comprehensive data collection, measurement, and reporting of all critical quarry activities. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, outdoor environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity.

Role & responsibilities:

Daily Activity Measurement & Recording (Field & Office):

    • Conduct precise measurements and observations of daily operational activities across the quarry, including material movement, equipment utilization, and manpower deployment.
    • Accurately record all relevant data using established methodologies and tools (e.g., measuring tapes, GPS, surveying equipment, digital forms).

Mining Production & Dispatch Management:

    • Measure, verify, and record daily mining production volumes (e.g., excavated rock, crushed aggregate) using appropriate techniques and calculations.
    • Monitor and record all daily dispatches of finished and semi-finished products, including quantity, type, and destination.
    • Reconcile production and dispatch figures against targets and previous reports.

Sales Activity Tracking:

    • Collaborate with the sales and dispatch teams to measure and record daily sales volumes, order statuses, and any relevant customer feedback or issues related to dispatch.
    • Ensure all sales-related data is accurately captured for reporting purposes.

Drilling Activity Measurement:

    • Measure and record daily drilling parameters, including drill hole depths, patterns, number of holes drilled, and consumables used.

Daily Report Generation & Communication:

    • Compile, analyze, and synthesize all collected daily data into clear, concise, and comprehensive daily reports.
    • Prepare and disseminate daily reports to relevant stakeholders through designated communication channels
    • Highlight key performance indicators, deviations from plan, and significant operational events in the daily reports.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Proficiency in measurement techniques relevant to quarrying (e.g., area & volume calculation, stockpile measurement, drilling parameters).

  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in MS Excel, and experience with reporting software or ERP systems is a plus.

  • Familiarity with quarry safety regulations and best practices.
