15 to 20 years of experience in Design & Engineering of Tanks in industries such as Metals, Minerals, Mining, Chemicals, Power & Cement. Well verse with API 650, EN 14015, AWWA D100 standards. Hand Calculations for Tank Thickness, Roof Design, Foundation Bolt, Dead Load, Live Load, Wind Load, Seismic Load. In depth Knowledge of Fabrication & Manufacturing process. Proficient in ASME Y14.5 (GD&T). Experience in Leading a team of Engineers. Experience working with Global Clients is a must.
Educational qualifications: B.E / M.Tech / PhD in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university Formal training or certifications in ANSYS, CFD tools preferred Strong engineering fundamentals in mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid flow Excellent Interpersonal skills Relevant experience: 10 to 20 years of experience in structural and thermal analysis of industrial equipment Proficiency in tools such as ANSYS Workbench, APDL, Fluent, CFX, SolidWorks Simulation Hands-on experience in: FEA: Static, dynamic (modal, harmonic), thermal, fatigue, and non-linear simulations CFD: Flow, pressure drop, heat transfer, and thermal-fluid interaction Exposure to seismic and response spectrum analysis Familiarity with ASME, IS, DIN, ANSI, and other relevant standards Ability to correlate simulation results with hand calculations Experience in scripting (APDL/Python) and automation of simulation workflows Strong report writing and presentation skills Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams TYPICAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct FEA and CFD analysis for validation and optimization of mechanical equipment Perform simulations such as stress, thermal, fatigue, vibration, and flow-related studies Develop and validate simulation models with appropriate boundary conditions and material properties Prepare comprehensive analysis reports and recommend design improvements Automate simulation tasks using scripting (APDL / Python) Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and failure analysis Collaborate with design, process, and manufacturing teams for integrated engineering solutions Ensure adherence to engineering codes and standards in all simulations Review of Equipment 3D Models & Detail drawings as per client standard.
