Steward

Job Summary:

The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas. This includes washing dishes, utensils, and equipment, as well as assisting kitchen staff with basic tasks. The Steward plays a key role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by supporting chefs and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure kitchen and dishwashing areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition at all times.
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately and maintain garbage area cleanliness.
• Refill soap and paper towel dispensers in kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen areas before and after service.
• Follow health and safety standards, including HACCP or equivalent.
• Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff as needed during busy periods.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with food safety regulations.
• Maintain proper storage of cleaning supplies and chemicals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a stewarding or cleaning role is an advantage but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation practices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹13,410.80 per month
