Static Equipment Engineer (Chemical/Biotech)

We are hiring for our client, a leading company in Chemical/Biotech Manufacturing Equipment.

Job Summary:

Static Equipment Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop detailed General Arrangement (GA) and fabrication drawings for static equipment like reactors, fermenters, heat exchangers, and storage tanks.
2. Ensure all equipment designs comply with relevant codes and standards (ASME, IS, TEMA, etc.) and meet client specifications.
3. Work closely with process, piping, and instrumentation teams to ensure effective equipment integration within plant layouts.
4. Prepare detailed BOMs, fabrication drawings, nozzle schedules, and support details.
5. Review and approve vendor drawings, ensure technical compliance, and manage technical clarifications.
6. Participate in internal and client design reviews, contributing technical insights and suggestions.
7. Provide technical support during fabrication and ensure manufacturability of designs.
8. Maintain proper documentation, including drawing revisions, change notes, and quality records.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. 6–8 years of experience in static equipment engineering within the

   Chemical, Biotech, or Pharma

   industry.
3. Proficient in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor); familiarity with PV Elite, Compress, or similar tools is a plus.
4. Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, TEMA, and other relevant industry standards.
5. Excellent understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and mechanical design principles.
6. Effective communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
7. High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in projects adhering to cGMP or regulatory guidelines.
2. Exposure to PLM systems and engineering document control.
3. Experience working with leading EPCs or Engineering Design Consultants in the Chemical/Biotech space.
