Staff DevOps Engineer

Role Overview: As a Staff DevOps Engineer at Qualifacts, you will play a critical role in the Software Development Lifecycle. You will collaborate with team members from various departments to research, design, and implement new technologies that enhance our platform and development tools. Your goal will be to enable teams to deliver high-quality changes to users quickly, safely, and reliably. You will work towards promoting industry best practices for software development and delivery and facilitate the integration of code, security scanning, application testing, and operations team involvement in software delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build automated solutions for provisioning infrastructure, configuring resources, and deploying software solutions - Review and manage complex systems and solutions as part of a cross-functional domain team - Propose, develop, and train team members on process improvements, tooling, and automation - Work directly with scrum teams to support complex tasks requiring detailed research and troubleshooting - Generate automated solutions for use by scrum teams and technical operations team members in day-to-day activities - Provide systems and infrastructure perspective during solution design and implementation - Implement tooling to measure metrics related to security vulnerabilities, code quality, and build/release activities - Collaborate with system administrators to provide technical support and expertise - Support software engineering and system administrators for successful rollout of software solutions - Assist in the transition of software solutions to technical operations for ongoing maintenance - Provide technical support for internal infrastructure and environments - Deploy release artifacts to internal environments and enhance deployment processes - Configure, deploy, monitor, and support tools related to the SDLC process - Generate solutions for monitoring and observability - Support solution architects and scrum teams in performance testing of software solutions - Create documentation related to process, standards, troubleshooting, and solution maintenance activities Qualifications: - Solid experience in system administration, software development, agile/DevOps practices, and open-source technologies - Proficiency in configuration management systems and tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or equivalent - Experience in building, deploying, monitoring, and supporting web-based applications, including containerized solutions - Expertise in implementing DevOps methods and tools such as agile/scrum, continuous integration, automated configuration management, infrastructure as code, and automated build/deployment pipelines - Advanced experience with automation in tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible - Familiarity with Kubernetes application development and/or administration - Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, MariaDB, MongoDB, and MySQL - Experience with Git-based source code management tools like GitLab, GitHub, etc. Additional Company Details: Qualifacts is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.,
