SS Electrical Engineer

Purpose/Objective

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the execution of electrical works for 765/400 kV substations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, cost efficiency, and quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining safety protocols and compliance while contributing to the successful delivery of substation projects through effective planning, coordination, and technical supervision

Job Purpose The Electrical Engineer will assist in the execution of electrical activities at substation sites, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project objectives. This role involves hands-on technical support, quality assurance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to achieve seamless project execution. Key Responsibilities Technical Execution & Quality Control - Support electrical erection and commissioning activities for high-voltage substations (765/400 kV). - Implement Field Quality Plans (FQP) and ensure compliance with technical specifications. - Witness site tests and validate test reports for electrical systems. Project Coordination - Assist in planning and monitoring daily site activities to meet project schedules. - Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and inspection authorities for smooth execution. - Prepare daily and monthly progress reports for internal stakeholders. Safety & Compliance - Uphold zero-harm principles by following statutory safety protocols and conducting safety checks. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation for material receipt and handover. Stakeholder Engagement - Liaise with contractors, service providers, and local authorities for project-related requirements. - Collaborate with internal teams (Projects, Engineering, O&M) for alignment on technical goals. Financial & Material Management - Support material reconciliation and assist in preparing RA bills for contractors. - Monitor resource utilization to maintain cost efficiency. Innovation & Technology - Utilize advanced tools for progress tracking and reporting. - Recommend improvements in electrical systems and processes for enhanced efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications & Experience - Education: B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering. - Experience: 3–7 years in electrical works for substation projects, preferably in high-voltage systems. - Familiarity with quality standards, safety protocols, and Field Quality Plans. - Hands-on experience in electrical erection, testing, and commissioning.
