Description:

Area(s) of responsibility

Job Responsibilities:

Diagnose and resolve complex issues in large-scale RHEL environments (thousands of servers), such as high CPU utilization, disk I/O bottlenecks, and network performance problems.
Implement kernel parameter adjustments, CPU isolation, and other tuning techniques to enhance system stability, security, and performance.
Manage Linux OS patching and upgrades using tools like Ansible and Red Hat Satellite to ensure system reliability and security.
Design, implement, and support high-availability solutions using clustering tools like Pacemaker and PCS.
Harden Linux operating systems, manage user accounts and permissions, and ensure compliance with security standards.
Monitor system performance, conduct SLA analysis, and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux servers.
Package Administration using RPM, YUM.
User management, Creation, Deletion, managing user privileges.
Managing partitions and file systems. Creating logical volumes using LVM.
Securing and managing network with firewall & IP tables (basic)
Validated knowledge in handling day-to-day LINUX operating system installation, migration and break-fix support
Patching Linux version
Managing Samba, ssh services.
