Job Description

Exceptional skill in configuring, running, monitoring, and tuning Java applications running in an Apache/NGINX with Tomcat configuration, JBOSS, WebSphere, WebLogic, and JMX Console.
Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and SVN is required.
Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
Good to have experience with one or more scripting languages such as Shell/Curl scripting.
Exceptional skill with Linux/Unix bash command line.
Demonstrable preference for approaching work via automation as a first choice.
Good to have experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics and ELK/Kibana.
Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing log analysis, application performance management (APM), and real user monitoring (RUM).
Experience providing hands-on monitoring as well as authoring monitoring and alerting using multiple toolsets.
Proven ability to write effectively in English for a business audience.
Exemplary practice in root cause analysis, documenting findings, and providing evidence.
Experience in writing standard operating procedures and following them rigorously.
Demonstrable experience with production operations issue management and response.
Ability to collaborate with internal support and engineering teams as well as third-party vendors on problem-solving.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple issues to resolution.
Capability to lead a technical team of peers toward issue resolution.
Experience using issue/workflow ticket tracking systems.
History of acting as a subject matter expert and training peers and stakeholders.
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Systems Administration, or 5+ years of systems management experience in a professional production setting.
Experience with deployment and release management.
Self-motivated and collaborative.
Good communication skills.
