Business Unit:

We are looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to join our team and take ownership of our SEO strategies. If you have a passion for technical SEO, content optimization, and data-driven decision-making, this is the perfect role for you!

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT

CIMET currently provides end-to-end comparison and signup of Energy, Telco, Credit Cards, Personal loan, and residential solar plans through its online solution in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to various Providers and has several White label partners and other co-branded partners. This portfolio will further expand over the next 18 months across financial services (loans and insurance products). The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform.

On 15 March 2022, CIMET decided to partner with iSelect who acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings. Going forward, CIMET will use this investment from iSelect to expand into new verticals including Home loans, Car loans, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pet Insurance among others. Additionally, CIMET has plans to expand into multiple geographies including India. CIMET today has around 130+ resources across Australia and India and will grow to over 200 over the next 2 years.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. SEO Strategy Implementation:

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies aligned with CIMET s business objectives.
  • Drive organic traffic growth through advanced on-page, off-page, and technical SEO techniques.
  • Stay ahead of search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices to continuously optimize our digital presence.

2. Technical SEO Website Optimization:

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and implement improvements for site speed, crawlability, indexing, and schema markup.
  • Optimize website architecture, structured data, and canonicalization to enhance search visibility.
  • Work closely with developers to implement technical changes that improve site health and performance.

3. Content Keyword Strategy:

  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis to identify content opportunities.
  • Work with content writers to optimize pages, ensuring high-quality, keyword-rich, and user-friendly content.
  • Leverage AI-driven content strategies to scale organic growth.

4. Link Building Off-Page SEO:

  • Develop and execute white-hat link-building strategies to enhance domain authority.
  • Partner with PR and outreach teams to build high-quality backlinks from authoritative sources.

5. Data Analysis Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track KPIs, including rankings, traffic, conversions, and ROI.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

6. Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the paid marketing, content, and web development teams to create an integrated digital marketing approach.
  • Support the product and UX teams by providing SEO insights to enhance the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with B2B partners and agencies to drive scalable SEO strategies.

Requirements Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency or high-growth digital company.
  • Proven experience in technical SEO, including site audits, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript SEO, and structured data.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Moz.
  • Expertise in keyword research, content optimization, and link-building strategies.
  • Proficiency in Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, and other reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to manage multiple SEO projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate SEO strategies and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience working in a B2B and B2C environment with a deep understanding of digital consumer behavior.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in AI-driven SEO automation and AI content optimization.
  • Familiarity with Open Banking and Fintech SEO strategies.
  • Experience in scaling organic traffic for large websites (millions of pages indexed).
  • Knowledge of local SEO and international SEO best practices.
