Sr. PHP Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer with strong expertise in the CodeIgniter framework to design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate should be able to lead backend development, optimize performance, mentor junior developers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, CodeIgniter, and MVC architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs/services.

Database & Backend Logic

• Work with MySQL databases, write optimized queries, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Ensure application security, performance, and scalability.

System Design & Architecture

• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure smooth functionality.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior developers, review code, and ensure coding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams.
• Support deployment processes and perform version control (Git).

Documentation

• Create technical documentation and maintain project-related documents.
• Provide accurate time estimates and contribute to sprint planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
• Strong expertise in CodeIgniter framework (CI3/CI4).
• Good understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles.
• Proficiency in MySQL, database schemas, and query optimization.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
• Experience in API development and integration (REST).
• Familiarity with Git, Composer, and deployment tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code effectively.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
