Sr. Manager/Chief Manage - Marketing (CMO)

Role & responsibilities

Strategic & Business Planning

• -Align plant productions with the requirement of market as per budgets and achieve the required customer service levels .

Production  Distribution , Receivable Management , Complaint management .

-Oversee allocation of production capacities to  zones .

• Optimize  order booking, inventory management , receivable management .
• Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints .
  

Commercial & Pricing

• Monitor receivables, credit management , and collection efficiency.
• Implementation of change in price.
• Checking of pricing proposals .

Data management 

• Analysis of customer OTIF 
• Daily and Monthly MIS reports based on Budgets and actuals .
• Data analysis and suggestion for the bringing improvement in customer service .

Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, mentor, and develop the CMO team across sales, logistics, and customer service.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, finance, and quality teams for seamless execution.
• Report business performance to top management with insights and recommendations.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of steel products, grades, and applications.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Analytical ability with proficiency in data-driven decision making.
• Exposure to SAP/ERP systems and digital sales platforms.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.Tech / BE (Metallurgy/Mechanical/Production) + MBA (Marketing/Strategy preferred).
• Experience: 1825 years in steel industry sales & marketing, with at least 5 years handling similar portfolio .
• Preferred: Experience in large steel plants, exposure to both B2B and channel sales, and proven track record in managing multi-thousand crore turnover.
