Job Description

We are looking for an

experienced Business Analyst

with expertise in

card payments

, including

credit, debit, prepaid cards, and merchant acquiring

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

payment processing systems, compliance standards (PCI-DSS, EMV, 3D Secure), and integrations with payment gateways and networks

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Gather, analyze, and document
business and technical requirements
related to
card payments
.
Conduct
gap analysis
to identify process improvement opportunities in
payment processing systems
.
Define
user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed workflows
for card payment solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as a
liaison between business users, technical teams, and external payment service providers
.
Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
to implement
new payment features, compliance updates, and system enhancements
.
Facilitate
workshops, meetings, and presentations
to align stakeholders on project goals.
Compliance & Industry Standards
Ensure compliance with
industry regulations
such as
PCI-DSS, EMV, and 3D Secure
.
Work on
card tokenization, encryption, and authentication standards
to enhance security.
System Integration & Testing
Support the
integration of payment gateways, networks, and APIs
with internal and external systems.
Work with
QA teams
to develop and execute
test cases for card payment systems
.
Conduct
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
and ensure all payment functionalities meet business requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve
issues during testing and post-deployment
.
Project Management & Reporting
Provide
regular updates
on project
timelines, risks, and deliverables
.
Recommend solutions to
enhance the efficiency, security, and scalability
of card payment systems.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
Bachelor s degree in
Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
.
Experience:
7+ years
as a
Business Analyst in the payments domain
, focusing on
card payment systems
.
Hands-on experience with
payment gateways, card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX)
, and
acquiring/issuing processes
.
Experience with
settlement, chargeback, and reconciliation processes
in the card payment lifecycle.
Technical & Domain Expertise:
Knowledge of
payment processing systems, authorization flows, and risk management
.
Familiarity with
card tokenization, encryption, and authentication standards (3D Secure, EMV, PCI-DSS, etc.)
.
Experience with
APIs and payment integrations
in
merchant acquiring and issuing environments
.
Understanding of
ISO 8583, SWIFT messages, and real-time payments
.
Soft Skills:
Strong
communication and stakeholder management
skills.
Excellent
problem-solving and analytical
abilities.
Ability to work in
Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC
environments.
