Sr / Finance Associate

Role Overview: Zeni is seeking an Accountant/Sr. Accountant for their R2R team. As a part of this team, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their accounting needs. Your strong knowledge and application of US GAAP, particularly in areas like SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt, will be essential. Additionally, your proficiency in Quickbooks will be highly valued in this role. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting for investor requirements and debt covenants. Key Responsibilities: - Quickly grasp accounting concepts and pronouncements - Ensure accurate and timely reporting of investor requirements and debt covenants - Prepare partner/affiliate, sales, and vendor contracts in compliance with accounting pronouncements - Manage multiple clients at different stages, from pre-revenue to post-revenue - Handle Equity reconciliations and other balance sheet schedules - Conduct P&L trending analysis - Adhere to accounting managers" or leads" timelines and SLAs - Perform full cycle month-end close and reporting - Validate transactions for accuracy and completeness - Proactively anticipate and resolve client requests - Collaborate with and assist team members as needed Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - 3-5 years of relevant experience - CPA/MBA/MCOM with Accounting or Finance concentration preferred - 2+ years of direct experience in high-tech startups, completing full cycle monthly close and reporting - Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP in SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt - Ability to interpret and apply PCC pronouncements and guidelines - Experience in due diligence and external audits - Experience with Quickbooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com, and Gusto preferred - Strong communication skills (oral and written) - Strong time and priority management skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (Note: The additional details of the company provided in the job description have been omitted as they were related to PR news and office perks specific to India.),
