Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers - Through internet, Magzines, Exibhitons, co-network etc.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable supply chain.- Monthly supplier meet etc.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers, ensuring they meet delivery and quality standards.
  • Send enquiries and get the quotations from listed Suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to secure the best deals and terms for the organization.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies based on inventory requirements, forecasts, and budget constraints
  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including placing orders, managing delivery schedules, and tracking etc. shipments
  • Ensure all purchased goods meet company quality standards and specifications
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payment to suppliers
  • Monthly monitering of inventory and manage minimum and maximum stock levels - Physical Stock verification
  • Participating in and providing required data for external stock and inventory audits- Half yearly and yearly
  • Receiving goods and verifying the quantity as per the invoice against the Purchase Order
  • Performing weighment activities at the weighbridge for all incoming scrap, sand, and outgoing waste disposal and foundry dust
  • Participating in and providing required data for internal audits
  • Responsible for participating in ISO, EMS, and OHSAS audits and maintaining all records related to these three systems standards
  • Coordinating and participating in meetings with various departments to address their requirements
  • Work closely with internal departments (e.g.Safety,Production Operations & maintenance) to align procurement activities
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the HR department to organize and execute social activities, including Ayudha Pooja, Annual Day, Environmental Day, and Safety Day, ensuring seamless planning and engagement
  • Compliance: Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, including spending, supplier performance, and inventory status
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, new suppliers, and innovations that could benefit the company.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality standards
