Job Location: Wagle Estate, Thane

Job Responsibilities:

• This role involves designing and developing Air conditioning compressors and chillers based on advance Technologies, New Product Development project requirements.
• Mechanical design of compressors, chillers from concept selection to detailed drawing, including design of pressure vessels, castings, bearings, lubrication systems, and seals. Specify, select, and apply motors in compressor applications. Performs stress and deflection analysis, rotor dynamics, and vibration analysis.
• Inclusion in a team of industrial refrigeration specialists.
• Management of replacement of old refrigerant gases in accordance with the new F-gas regulations.
• Follow compliance with F-gas Regulations
• Knowledge on functioning & designing of chilled water HVAC systems.
• Should be able to do selections for Chillers, Boilers, AHUs, Expansion tanks, pumps, valve selections etc.
• Provide efficient and accurate pump head calculations, pipe sizing etc.
  Learn and apply new technologies in chilled water systems.
• Design, implement, maintain and improve mechanical systems, equipment selections, specifications and other related processes for commercial, industrial and residential projects.
• Knowledge of Codes including but not limited to International Codes, Mechanical Code, AHRI, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, ASHRAE Standards etc.
• Concept generation, breaking down design problems into milestones, preparing detailed project plans, and scheduling tasks.
• Review design concept, calculations, drawings to the accuracy of design intent, Code Compliance and customer requirements.
• Lead the team of design engineers, train engineers to conform to standards, improve performances and ensure quality output.
• Coordinate with client, project manager to ensure on time delivery of projects as per schedule and requirements.

Desired Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• At least 5 years of related experience in HVAC/ refrigeration sector
• Hands-on experience on software like Inventor/SolidWorks/Creo/Nx, AutoCAD.
• Must have worked with Building Services, International projects, US preferred.
• Team handling experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Should have knowledge of engineering tools like DFMEA/DFMA/DOE.
• Good understanding of machine design and manufacturing processes, such as casting, Sheetmetal, and plastics design.
• Should be proficient in preparing engineering drawings and dimensioning (GD&T), performing tolerance analysis, basic engineering calculations, and design layouts
