Job Description: Sr. Engineer (Civil)

Location: Shinay, Gandhidham

Project: Construction of School Building

Experience: Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial & Public Building Projects

1. Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to oversee the construction of a school building at Shinay, Gandhidham. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent site management capability, and proven experience in delivering high-quality civil, structural, and interior works across various project types.

2. Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Management

• Manage day-to-day site execution and ensure timely progress of all civil and structural activities.
• Oversee RCC works, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, finishing, external development, and interior works.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is carried out as per drawings and specifications.
• Ensure safety standards, work quality, and site discipline.

Drawing Review & Verification

• Verify and read all Structural, Architectural, Interior, and MEPD drawings before execution.
• Identify discrepancies, highlight issues, and coordinate with consultants for clarifications.
• Ensure the site team executes work strictly as per approved drawings and standards.

Quality Control & Technical Checks

• Conduct checks for shuttering, concreting, finishing, and material quality.
• Check reinforcement as per structural drawings—spacing, diameter, cover, lap lengths, cutting & bending schedules.
• Maintain checklists, test reports, and inspection records.

BOQ, Estimation & Reporting

• Prepare BOQs, estimates, rate analysis, and quantity take-off.
• Verify contractor bills and material consumption.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and presentations.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with all agencies and consultants, including architecture, structural, MEP, interiors, and vendor teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and management for smooth project execution.
• Conduct site meetings and follow up on pending works and issues.

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare project timelines, sequencing, and resource planning.
• Use MS Project for scheduling, gantt charts, and progress monitoring.
• Track delays, identify critical activities, and take corrective actions.

4. Experience & Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 4* –10 years of experience* in building construction projects
• Must have experience in Institutional and Public Building Projects
• Strong exposure to structural, finishing, and interior works

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,678.72 - ₹63,250.28 per month
