About The Job

FeaturedWe are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with Azure Data Engineer expertise to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in SQL development along with hands-on experience in SSIS or Azure Data Factory (ADF). This role will focus on building, optimising, and maintaining robust data solutions to support business operations and analytics.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support data processing and reporting.
  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Perform data modelling, database design, and query performance tuning.
  • Manage data workflows between on-premise systems and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Ensure high performance, availability, and reliability of data solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data pipelines.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for processes, data models, and technical solutions.
  • Adhere to best practices for data security, compliance, and governance.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in SQL Server development (T-SQL, indexing, query optimisation).
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building data pipelines.
  • Proficient in ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data transformation.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts, data quality, and error handling.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Power BI or SSRS reporting tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the software industry
  • B.Tech/M.Tech in CS/IT, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
