Key Responsibilities

Incident Analysis & Resolution

• Analyse incidents escalated from the L1 team and provide efficient workarounds or permanent solutions.
• Use advanced SQL queries to investigate issues, validate data, identify root causes, and provide accurate responses to IT/Business teams.
• Ensure all incidents are resolved within defined SLAs.

Operational Vigilance

• Maintain high alertness and focus throughout shift hours, ensuring uninterrupted application support.

Database & SQL Support (Primary Focus)

• Develop, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries for troubleshooting and issue analysis.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and impact assessment using SQL.
• Collaborate with technical teams to suggest SQL-level fixes or data corrections where appropriate.

Problem Management

• Follow client-defined processes for problem management.
• Document detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA), including SQL-based analysis steps and findings.

Knowledge Management

• Update and maintain SOPs, ensuring L1 teams can independently handle recurring issues using documented SQL steps when needed.

Collaboration with Product & Development Teams

• Implement standard solutions provided by Application/Product teams.
• Continuously follow up on unresolved SQL/database-related issues until closure.

Reporting & Analysis

• Support the Application Lead with reporting and trend analysis, often leveraging SQL scripts for data extraction and insights.

Shift Management

• Ensure smooth shift handover/takeover with clear documentation of ongoing SQL/database issues or investigations.
• Be fully willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 24 years of experience in Application Support, BFSI preferred

• Strong command of SQL—capable of writing complex queries, joins, subqueries, stored procedure analysis, and data investigation
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, especially in data-driven environments
• Knowledge about CRM product will be an added advantage
• Good communication skills to interact with business and IT stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent SLA timelines
• Familiarity with ITIL (Incident/Problem Management) is an advantage
• Flexible to work in all rotational shifts, including nights
