Job Summary:

L2 Production Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor production systems and respond to incidents, alerts, and escalations in a timely manner
Perform root cause analysis and provide fixes for recurring issues
Troubleshoot application-level issues in Java-based systems
Write and optimize SQL queries to analyse and resolve data-related issues
Manage and automate routine UNIX/Linux system tasks
Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless production operations
Participate in on-call rotation and ensure 24x7 availability during support shifts

Required Skills:

8+ years of experience in Production Support or Application Support roles
Strong hands-on knowledge of
Java (debugging, log analysis)
Proficiency in
SQL (querying, data analysis, basic performance tuning)
Good working experience with
UNIX/Linux commands and scripting
Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics) is a plus
Ability to handle pressure and manage incidents independently
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
