Job Description

Core Tasks

Implement policies in firewalls (especially FortiGate) and proxies (SWG), based on service requests raised by other IT staff members in CLAAS ITSM system
Analyze alerts raised by the CLAAS monitoring system for the availability of the companies SD-WAN gateways
Execute lifecycle management tasks (i.e. change / delete firewall and proxy policies on changes such as server deletion)
Configure IPsec site-to-site VPNs with partner companies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
8+ years of relevant work experience in a network operations, administration, or support role
Knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and topologies
Experience with Firewalls (preferably Fortinet and PaloAlto) and Proxies
Solid general IT networking skills (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)
Proficient usage of network analysis tools such as Wireshark
Experience with monitoring and logging (SNMP, Syslog, SIEM) Extensive experience in collaborating and networking with cross-cultural teams, both international and virtual, to achieve seamless project delivery
Proficient in analytical and solution-oriented thinking
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Willingness to work in shifts with respect to 24/7 supervision
