Responsibilities

  • SQL Server DBA:
  • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including user accounts and permissions.
  • Develop and execute backup and recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
  • Collaborate with developers to define database requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Oracle GoldenGate:
  • Design, implement, and manage Oracle GoldenGate configurations for SQL Server.
  • Configure and monitor data replication between Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve replication issues.
  • Ensure data consistency and minimal lag during replication.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server database administration.
  • Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning techniques.
  • Understanding of database security principles.
  • Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities May Also Include

  • Designing and implementing database architectures.
  • Providing technical support to developers and end-users.
  • Participating in project planning and implementation.
  • Staying current with the latest SQL Server and Oracle GoldenGate technologies.
