Role Overview

As a Sports Analyst Intern, you will work at the intersection of data and sports. You will analyze match statistics, player performance, and game trends to generate actionable insights that support content creation and strategic decision-making. This role is designed to strengthen analytical skills and build a portfolio in the fast-growing sports-tech industry.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collect and organize historical and real-time sports data, including scores, player statistics, and team metrics
• Analyze player and team performance to identify patterns, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Prepare match previews, post-match reports, and data-driven insights for editorial teams
• Build and maintain dashboards to visualize game trends and statistical comparisons
• Monitor global sports trends and fan engagement metrics to support content strategy

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or graduated from

  Sports Management, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields

• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex datasets and convert insights into clear narratives
• Familiarity with

  Excel, Google Sheets, or data visualization tools

  such as Tableau or Power BI
• Knowledge of Python or R is an added advantage
• Strong understanding of sports concepts, rules, and performance metrics (Cricket, Football, etc.)
• Good written communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset
