How You Will Contribute Customer facing presales engineering representative focused on India Enterprise, Datacenter and ISP market. Perform technical tasks, including assisting in written proposals, network design and engineering and quotes. Must be able to communicate solutions to customers and work with internal Ciena organization for both Ciena Software and Hardware Products to develop new features and functionality based on Customer needs. Provide network and application engineering expertise for CIENA products. Consult with customers to design and implement next-generation architectures tailored to their needs. Develop comprehensive network designs and technical solutions aligned with customer applications and business drivers. Utilize CIENA network design and modeling tools proficiently to deliver optimized solutions. Prepare detailed quotations and support proposal development for optical transport products. Deliver product and technical expertise to support diverse Sales initiatives. Create and present compelling design and application presentations for customers and stakeholders. Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to address customer requirements and recommend product enhancements. Oversee and mentor regional Sales Engineers, setting team goals and documenting processes and outcomes. Facilitate customer transitions from end-of-life products to CIENA’s optical solutions. Maintain proficiency in Siebel CRM for seamless management of sales processes. 50%+ travel required to support customer engagement and project success. The Must Haves Strong technical expertise in designing optical networks and fiber optic solutions for ISPs (Jio/ LTV would be a pref), enterprise clients, and data center environments. Solid foundational knowledge of routing, switching, and telecommunications network management. Excellent written and verbal communication, with effective presentation skills. Highly adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities independently. Proven skills in management, decision-making, and problem-solving. Well-versed in navigating competitive sales environments. Education/ Experience BE/ B.tech or equivalent with CCNA/other IP certifications 6+ years telecommunication industry experience focusing on Optical/ DWDM/ Layer0-1 Systems/Sales Engineering Background required Not ready to apply?
