Specialist Engineer - Applied Structural Analysis (Bangalore)

Role & responsibilities

• The Specialist Engineer - Applied Structural Analysis (Mechanical Analysis) performs structural and rotor dynamic analysis and reviews for order engineering, product development and for R&D for all Business Units and products.
• This includes optimization of the mechanical product design in accordance with customer specifications and requirements, national and international standards and internal procedures.
• The engineer performs mechanical and rotor dynamic analysis in all phases of the project, including input for detailed design. The key objectives are accuracy and quality of the results as well as the on-time delivery of said results.
• The engineer is the technical specialist on applied structural mechanical analysis for the product lines.

Preferred candidate profile

Ideal Candidate : -

• ME / M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 15 + years in Structural and Rotor Analysis in Pumps & Valves. A Ph. D. in this specialization will be an added advantage

• Should have hands on experience and knowledge in

  FEA & Stress Analysis

• Should have very good understanding and application of International Standards

  ASME, ANSI, API Application programming Interface,

• Should have in-depth knowledge of

  Pumps, Seal and Valve design

• Should have good operational knowledge of

  ANSYS, Abaqus, Autodesk, SDI

  ,
• Should be well versed in

  CAD and simulation tools.

• Should be hands on with MS Applications, Advanced Excel
• Should have hands on experience with

  Shaft Deflection Analysis, Pressure boundary Evaluation.

• Should have experience in carrying out

  Torsional and Lateral Analysis in Pumps & Valves

• Should have experience conducting

  structural and Thermal Analysis of Pressure vessels and Rotating Equipment.

• Should be equipped to validate technical acceptability of Mechanical Design

• Work Mode - Hybrid
