Key experience required

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Experience with Head Up Display optical, and electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience in automotive digital cockpit, battery management system, automotive display.
  • Proven results leading globally diverse team of very technical leaders.
  • Developing technology roadmaps, socializing with stakeholders, and implementing.
  • Influencing suppliers and customers through strong collaborative relationships
  • Experience utilizing engineering resources in lower cost countries to maximize efficiency.
  • Evidence selecting top technical talent and building high performance teams globally.

 

Preferred

  • Master’s /PhD Degree in Mechanical, Automation, Instrumentation Engineering
  • Active membership/leadership/role model in very large technical organizations and/or associations cross global
  • Solid hands-on Experience with thermal simulation and analysis, DFSS.

 

Technical and Functional Competencies

  • Analyzes complex information using a range of techniques and asks probing questions to gain an in-depth understanding of key trends related to important departmental issues; generates solutions and evaluates others’ solutions to determine the best way forward.
  • Convinces others on key topics by presenting compelling rationale and persuasive arguments; shapes opinions within the department and negotiates to get the best deal.
  • Articulates and presents important information clearly and concisely to people at all levels across the department.

 

 

  • Ensures that there are clear organizational priorities and appropriate people and structures to deliver on key initiatives.

  • Encourages and inspires staff to achieve department objectives by providing support and guidance; motivates teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Challenges established ideas, assumptions and views to encourage new thinking that propels the organization forward; argues own perspective very strongly on organizationally critical issues.
  • Demonstrates inspirational leadership and instills a high level of organizational commitment; motivates business leaders to focus on the things that matter for success.
  • Strong communication as well as passion for technology development
  • Ability to modify communication approach to be effective dealing with engineers through the CEO/BoD.
  • Build consensus amongst many different parts of the organization using influence.
  • Business acumen; understanding of Visteon Business Operating System
