Job Role We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic professional for the role of AGM Power Electronics to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced power electronics systems for electric 2-wheelers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in charger and inverter design, power electronics simulation, and model-based design (MBD) development, along with the leadership capability to mentor and guide a team of engineers. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead end-to-end design and development of power electronic systems including onboard/offboard chargers, DC-DC converters, and motor inverters for electric 2-wheelers. Guide circuit design (analog/digital), PCB layout, thermal management, and component selection. Own simulation and modeling of power electronic circuits using tools like PLECS, PSIM, LTspice, etc. Drive Model-Based Design (MBD) approach using MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithm development and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. Project Management Plan and manage multiple development projects from concept to production, ensuring cost, quality, and timeline goals are met. Collaborate cross-functionally with embedded software, mechanical, battery, and vehicle integration teams. Provide technical mentorship and career development guidance to junior engineers and project leads. Innovation & Quality Ensure robust design through DFMEA, thermal analysis, EMI/EMC considerations, and design validation testing. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, such as SiC/GaN devices, to enhance system performance and efficiency. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, design reuse, and technical excellence. Ideal Candidate Bachelors or Master s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics Engineering. 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in power electronics design within the electric vehicle (2-wheeler/4-wheeler) or automotive domain. Proven hands-on experience in designing chargers (AC-DC) and motor inverters (DC-AC) for EV applications. Power electronics simulation (PSIM, PLECS, MATLAB, etc.). MBD-based development using MATLAB/Simulink. Control strategy development for motor drives and chargers. Deep understanding of automotive standards, EMI/EMC compliance, and functional safety (ISO 26262 is a plus). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams, review designs, and conduct technical deep-dives. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience with production-grade EV powertrain systems. Exposure to Inverter, Charger battery management systems (BMS) and vehicle control units (VCU). Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and automotive quality systems.
