Principal Engineer - PCB Design

Key Responsibilities

1. Should able to Case study the stakeholder requirements and Inputs.
2. Must work independently by following the standards and guidelines.
3. Responsible for project deliverable from Library creation, component placement, Routing , Gerber release till PCB & PCBA.
4. Should have good understanding of Datasheets & Creating Libraries (Schematic symbol and PCB footprint ) as per IPC Standards.
5. Collaborate with different teams like Electrical, Mechanical, to design PCB as per requirement and PCB suppliers.
6. Should have worked on Various PCB technologies like High speed, High power, RF PCB s.
7. Should have sound knowledge on Layer stack up design.
8. Should have sound knowledge on PCB Design considering EMI/EMC.
9. Must be strong in PCB design considering DFM, DFA & DFT.
10. Must be capable of understanding and solving the EQ s/TQ s from the suppliers.
11. Should have knowledge on PCB review, DFM reviews.
12. Good to have knowledge on Reverse Engineering the PCB design.
13. Hand on SW tools : PCB Tools: Altium(Preferred) , Allegro DFM tools: CAM350 or valor etc.
14. Actively participating in cross functional team meetings to take and provide feedback
15. Prioritize activities as per the organization goals.
16. Support in mitigating Product, Sourcing and Program risks.
17. Taking initiatives in implementing processes to improve organization efficiency.
18. Collaborating with people to solve problems with a structured approach.
19. Good communication skills and should be able to handle/lead projects independently.
20. Working on multiple projects whenever required.

Ideal Candidate

1. Diploma / B.E. (Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation and Control Engineering).
2. Professional Experience: 8 to12 years.
3. Must have developed the product from Concept to production.
4. Hands on experience in Library creation for Schematic symbol and PCB library as per IPC standards.
5. PCB layout design using IPC Standards/Guidelines.
6. Stack up design.
7. DFx (DFA, DFM & DFT)
8. Experience in High speed design/RF, High Voltage, High current design.
9. Knowledge on PCB level EMI/EMC guidelines.
