We work across India to bring dignity, opportunity, and equality to individuals with diverse disabilities.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and committed Special Educator in Solapur who will work with children with disabilities, providing tailored educational support and creating an inclusive learning environment. The educator will collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, therapists, and school staff to ensure holistic development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify educational needs of children with disabilities (intellectual, developmental, sensory, and learning disabilities).
• Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Deliver engaging, adaptive classroom instruction and 1:1 sessions.
• Use teaching aids, assistive technology, and sensory tools effectively.
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation and reports.
• Work with families and caregivers to build home-based learning support.
• Coordinate with therapists, shadow teachers, and mainstream school teachers.
• Conduct inclusive awareness sessions and community engagement activities.
• Attend training programs and workshops organized by GiftAbled.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards as per RCI guidelines.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma / B.Ed in Special Education (RCI Registered is mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in teaching children with disabilities preferred (freshers with strong commitment may apply).
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of different types of disabilities.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
• Fluency in Marathi and basic English.
• Empathy, patience, and a solution-focused attitude.

Desirable:

• Experience working in rural/aspirational districts.
• Familiarity with inclusive education frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of sign language or Braille is a plus.

Salary:

As per industry standards and based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:

• Performance bonus

Work Location: In person
