Job Summary:

The Pride Hotel, Chennai is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to lead our culinary operations. As the Head of Department, you will be responsible for managing the entire kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, while driving creativity and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, train, and inspire the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Plan and execute menus, ensuring variety, innovation, and cost efficiency.

Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service.

Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation in compliance with hotel policies.

Manage food costs, inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships.

Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.

Oversee kitchen staff scheduling, performance evaluation, and recruitment.

Maintain kitchen equipment in top working condition.

Qualifications & Skills:

8–12 years of experience in reputed hotels or restaurants. 

Strong expertise in international and local cuisines.

Proven skills in menu development, cost control, and kitchen management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
