Job Summary:
- The General Manager - Staffing will be responsible for managing the sourcing, deployment, and retention of contract workforce across India. This role will involve coordination with client HR teams, ensuring timely workforce deployment, and overseeing a nationwide sourcing team.
- The GM must drive business growth by acquiring new business, expanding existing contracts, and optimizing operational costs. The role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of statutory compliance, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleges, and NGOs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Workforce Sourcing & Deployment:
- Lead and manage sourcing teams across India to ensure a steady supply of skilled blue-collar and white-collar workers for manufacturing clients.
- Collaborate with HR teams of client companies to understand workforce requirements and deployment timelines.
- Ensure the deployment plan is executed efficiently, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity.
2. Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the key point of contact for client HR teams to manage expectations, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with colleges, training institutes, and NGOs for sustainable talent pipelines.
- Ensure high service delivery standards, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term engagement.
3. Attrition Control & Retention:
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce workforce attrition, ensuring industry-best retention standards.
- Analyze attrition trends and implement proactive measures to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Work with internal teams to ensure that candidates have suitable accommodation, training, and job satisfaction.
4. Compliance & Operations Management:
- Ensure all staffing activities comply with statutory and regional labor laws and regulations.
- Monitor and enforce strict adherence to compliance requirements, documentation, and employee welfare standards.
- Oversee the coordination of worker accommodation, transportation, and other essential logistics.
5. Team Management & Expansion:
- Manage, mentor, and guide a nationwide sourcing team to achieve hiring targets and operational excellence.
- Identify hiring needs within the team and onboard new members to strengthen operations.
- Drive a performance-oriented culture, ensuring team members meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
6. Business Growth & Expansion:
- Increase workforce deployment by a minimum of 5,000 headcount per year from new business.
- Achieve 25%-30% growth in headcount for existing client accounts annually.
- Identify new business opportunities, pitch staffing solutions, and negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
- Ensure cost-conscious operational planning while maintaining high service standards.
7. Reporting Structure:

- Recruitment Efficiency: Time-to-Fill, Offer Acceptance Rate
- Attrition on Control: Reduce churn rate below industry standards
- Compliance & Audits: 100% adherence to labor laws
- Revenue Contribution: Revenue per headcount, Cost per hire
9. Technology & Tools:
- Expecteded to work with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), HRMS, and workforce management tools.
- Should be comfortable integrating AI-based hiring tools for process automation.

13. Multilingual & Travel Requirements:
- Must be proficient in multiple languages; Hindi proficiency is an added advantage.
- Will be required to travel across India to oversee workforce deployment and client relations.
