Solution Architect

Role:

We are looking for a Solution Architect to play a key technical and leadership role in several projects. The solutions architect will be responsible for evaluating the organizations business needs and determining how IT can support those needs leveraging software, hardware, or infrastructure. Aligning IT strategy with business goals has become paramount, and a solutions architect can help determine, develop, and improve technical solutions in support of business goals.

The Solution Architect will also bridge communication between IT and business operations to ensure everyone is aligned in developing and implementing technical solutions for business problems. The process requires regular feedback, adjustments, and problem-solving in order to properly design and implement potential solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems.
• Identify areas where IT can support business needs and goals.
• Work with business units to develop IT strategies and to improve current IT implementations.
• Work with product domain and delivery teams to develop scalable solutions and products.
• Communicate and consult with clients and internal stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions
• Shape solution options and influence strategic direction to ensure that the solutions designed are architecturally aligned
• Develop solution designs and support technical design documentation in compliance with architectural strategies (vision and roadmap) and principles
• Ensure that solutions adhere to required standards on security, infrastructure, services, delivery and quality assurance in order to ensure business solutions bring real value to the organization
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the specific business areas to which you are aligned and have an understanding of organizational inter dependencies to ensure an enterprise view when designing business solutions
• Maintain relationships with client or internal Enterprise Architect, Business Analyst and IT Delivery in order to influence decisions made in the scoping of projects and to influence architectural direction
• Promote awareness of new and emerging technologies among staff and the business
• Maintain a high level of business engagement to inspire confidence in IT as a trusted business partner
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement in the Solution Architecture team by looking for and driving improvements to ways of working, processes, tools and techniques
• Provide relevant skills transfer, coaching and mentoring to team members to share expertise
• Deliver Initial Technical Design Assessment for End-to-End solution, get it reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders from various participating domains.
• Deliver High Level Designs for End-to-End Solution, get it reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders from various participating domains.

Required Skill Set:

• Possess high level of technical literacy and the ability to analyze in detail.
• Extensive time management skills to determine development schedules and milestones and ensure that deliverables are completed on time
• Experience with team leadership and motivation is essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess excellent problem-solving attitude, and ability to quickly change direction based on updated client specifications or system limitations
