The opportunity
We are looking for an Manager with expertise as a Solutions Architect who is keen to work in a fast-paced business, adding value by pragmatically applying their unique skills to help us deliver our strategy in an ever-changing environment. As a Solution Architect, you will focus on qualified client pursuits and be accountable to conceptualize, design and transition highly efficient, optimised and integrated solutions to help EY and Client teams to deliver the agreed scope & transform their business. You will work closely with the various regional stakeholders as well as global delivery enablement and Client/ EY/ Vendor/ Tax technology teams and would be supporting senior Enterprise Architectswith your strong understanding of technology and apply it to drive business outcomes. You will provide guidance for the solution & deal definition, architectural thought leadership, ascertain technical delivery possibilities & costs involved for the top critical business solution implementations - based on various available EY Technology products, tools & processes. Support Technical proposal development by working with a wide variety of internal stakeholders namely product owners, Offering Owners (in the Service Lines), and service line delivery onshore and GDS, thereby helping customers as well as EY get better ROI.
Key responsibilities
Work on pursuits , partnering with pursuit leader and team including Enterprise Architects, Deal Solution Architects, peer Workstream Leaders and Service Line Subject Matter Resource to help shape RFP responses and bring in incisive insights from Tech experience. Take part in due diligence exercises pre and post contract analysing complex data to drive solution, risk and commercial decisions in the best interest of the client and the firm. Participate in deal review board and associated governance checkpoints as needed. Design target client solution (technology, integration) for transition and transformation, based upon repeatable IP and assets. Capture functional and non-functional requirements in scope for the solution, along with risks, assumptions and dependencies that are critical for engagement success. Document solution architecture/design (FDD, IAD, IDD and scope ), present it to various stakeholders, secure sign offs from various stakeholders and oversee the realization phase to ensure client success. Ensure projects solution architecture is documented using the templates, Architecture tooling and conforms to standards and utilizes the available reference models. Interact with stakeholders on architecture issues and strategic improvements where such expertise is required. Identify ways to reduce costs and bringing efficiencie s through strong expertise and working knowledge of EYs technical & business architecture. Coach designers and business analysts during their design work. Provide input towards the design of priority solutions/ products/services offering over the development lifecycle with particular focus on delivery components necessary to deploy a viable solution for our clients. Maintain relationships with relevant delivery/competence centre teams and actively ensure that implemented solutions follow the (approved) designs, not only during a project but during the entire application life cycle. Pro-actively contribute to the development of the Architecture community and be an ambassador for good architecture. Assist in onboarding new architects. Capture and maintain knowledge to support pursuitsand to train. Work closely with product manager and other project teams to align with project priorities.
Skills requirements Strong tech background stints in deal development, architecture & strategy or being associated with a technology start-up/have large scale multi-technology, data, analytics deal experience. Technology all-round expertise Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, Security. Having technical/data/application/integration architecture experience. Expertise on solution write-up, making client presentations, responding to RFPs. Good communication skill in English both written and spoken. Ability to interact with a global audience of customers, partners and a global team. Good business acumen with outstanding ability in developing strategic ongoing customer relationships, gaining trust of stakeholders and respect for the company through technical leadership. Ability to identify technical risks before they occur and develop mitigation/avoidance strategies. Awareness of portfolio management (and the associated principles, tools and techniques). Organized and methodical. Ability to initiate, plan and develop according to plan though coping with a level of uncertainty and risk. Rigorous, thorough and with a taste for detail. Leadership & negotiating skills and ability to drive change using influence and networking.
