Soldering Technician

Role Overview : The Soldering Technician is responsible for precisely assembling and repairing electronic circuits and components. This includes surface-mount and through-hole soldering, troubleshooting defects, and collaborating with engineering teams to uphold product quality and consistency. Key Responsibilities : Perform soldering tasks on PCBs and assemblies using various techniques—hand soldering, SMT, reflow, wave, and rework. Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematic diagrams. Inspect solder joints for quality and reliability; conduct touch-ups and rework when defects are identified. Operate and maintain soldering tools and equipment—soldering irons, hot air guns, reflow ovens, and wave solder machines. Control soldering parameters such as temperature, solder flow, and dwell time to ensure joint integrity. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain work environment cleanliness and organization. Technical Skills: Proficient with soldering techniques including SMT, through-hole, reflow, wave, and rework. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail. Knowledge of soldering materials, fluxes, and ESD safety practices. Problem-solving aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
