Job Description

Solar PV (Photovoltaic) Technical Engineer is a professional who specializes in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of solar power systems that convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic technology. Here's a breakdown of the role, responsibilities, required skills, and qualifications: Role Overview: A Solar PV Technical Engineer works on projects ranging from small residential systems to large utility-scale solar farms. Their work involves both office-based design and analysis as well as field-based inspections and commissioning. Key Responsibilities: Design & Engineering  Designing PV systems (grid-tied, off-grid, hybrid) using software like PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Helioscope.  Performing site assessments and shading analysis.  Electrical system design (DC/AC wiring, string sizing, inverter selection, etc.). Project Execution  Preparing technical specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and system layouts.  Coordinating with procurement and construction teams during installation.  Supervising and ensuring correct implementation of solar projects. Operation & Maintenance  Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.  Conducting performance analysis and optimization.  Ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC). Reporting & Documentation  Creating detailed technical documentation and reports.  Providing support during commissioning and regulatory approvals. Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in electrical engineering, or in Renewable Energy, or related field.  Professional certifications (optional but beneficial): o PV Installation Professional  Min.Experience:- 3-5 year on solar pv system Required Skills:  Knowledge of solar PV technologies  Proficiency in PV design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD )  Understanding of electrical and structural engineering principles.  Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety codes.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Salary:- 18k onwards
