Job Title: Software Tester / QA Engineer Roles & Responsibilities Analyze requirements and prepare test plans and test cases Perform manual testing of web and software applications Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing Work closely with developers to resolve defects Validate fixes and perform re-testing Ensure software meets functional and performance requirements Prepare test reports and maintain QA documentation Participate in review meetings and quality improvement processes Required Skills Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) Knowledge of Manual Testing concepts Familiarity with SDLC models Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation Understanding of Bug Life Cycle Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail – preferred) Good analytical and communication skills
