Software Test Engineer(ONLY FOR FRESHERS)

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a fresher, you will be involved in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality and performance of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues. Key Responsibilities: • Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure functionality. • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium with Java and Maven for UI testing. • Write and maintain API test scripts using the Jest framework with JavaScript. • Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans. • Document and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve them. • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. • Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to the enhancement of the testing framework. • Assist in the preparation of test reports and documentation. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) • Basic knowledge of manual testing techniques and tools. • Familiarity with Selenium, Java, and Maven for automation testing. • Understanding of API testing and experience with Jest framework or other similar tools. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of version control systems like Git. • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
