We are seeking an Application Manager Support Specialist to help Business Owners and Application Manager through the application approval process. The Position will support them designing and implementing applications in compliance with internal policies, frameworks, and cybersecurity procedures. While the Business Owner remains accountable for the application’s compliance, and the Application Manager is responsible for delivery during the project security assessment, this role will act as a key enabler for non-technical Application Managers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of our internal IT and cybersecurity processes, frameworks, and governance requirements, and will work to ensure smooth, timely progress in the security approval process.
•Project Coordination and Support: Keep the application approval process on track by providing administrative support, sending reminders, collecting necessary documentation, and facilitating communication between Application Managers, Business Owners, and security teams. Ensure the timely completion of all steps in the application approval workflow.
•Collaborate with Business Owners and Application Managers: Work with Business Owners and their Legal to understand and document the business, legal, and regulatory requirements for their applications, ensuring with the Application Manager the later alignment of business objectives with security policies. While the Business Owner remains accountable and the Application Manager responsible for the application, your role is to support them in navigating security requirements.
•Assist in Technical Documentation: Help create and review architectural drawings and flow matrices, ensuring all IT flows are in compliance with internal security policies and governance standards.
The aim is to deliver a compliant and exhaustive Documentation to the Security Officer for review and validation.
•Mediate between Security Officer and Business: Support the Security Officer addressing Security Needs and Gaps to the Business and the Business to deliver quality documentation to ease the security approval process.
•Vendor Governance: Support the vendor during Vendor Cybersecurity Assessment as a first Level Support, ensuring the process, scope and questions are well-understood. Support the Vendor and the Business in resolving Gaps the Security Officer has highlighted during the Assessment. The Application Manager and his/her Purchasing will remain responsible for vendor management.
•Support Security Measures and Service Integration: Advise on and help implementing security measures, such as encryption, authentication, data protection or role-based access control and assist the integration of applications with enterprise services such as IAM, EDI or Protection Services.
•Vulnerability Management: Coordinate vulnerability scanning requests, help interpret the results, and provide first-level Support to Application Managers and Business Owners in understanding and addressing identified vulnerabilities
•Knowledge of Internal IT and Security Policies and Processes: While you can always rely on the Business Security Officer for expertise Knowledge, you should have a good understanding of the company’s internal cybersecurity processes, security frameworks, and compliance requirements.
•Organizational & Communication Skills: Very good ability to manage multiple stakeholders, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks while communicating clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
•Project Coordination: Experience supporting projects, managing timelines, and facilitating coordination between different teams to keep processes moving forward.
•Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to assist non-technical teams in addressing security challenges and aligning them with internal requirements, while ensuring that accountability for decision-making remains with the Business Owner and Application Manager.
•Security Awareness: While deep security expertise is not required, familiarity with security best practices and the ability to support technical teams in applying internal cybersecurity processes is essential.
•Experience: 3+ years of experience in application management, IT governance, or a related field
