Opportunity As a Software Engineer at Hiver, you will play a pivotal role in building our technical landscape and learning with our team while contributing to our vibrant company culture.With our customer base expanding rapidly and processing over 5 million emails daily for thousands of active users, you will be at the forefront of creating and enhancing the user experience. In this role, you will work with a team of highly skilled engineers that will help you learn and execute. What you will be working on? Build a custom solution to extend WordPress functionality based on project requirements. Implement SEO best practices through code, including meta tags, schema markup, and optimized URL structures. Optimize page load speed to meet Core Web Vitals targets Collaborate with designers and content teams to accurately implement designs and content. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on WordPress sites, including debugging code and fixing crawl errors. Configure and manage 301/302 redirects via server settings, .htaccess or PHP hooks Assist in maintaining and updating WordPress sites, applying security patches and performance enhancements. Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for clean, maintainable code. What we are looking for? 3-4 years of experience in WordPress development with Elementor builder, including custom plugin development. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, PHP (OOP) Familiarity with server configuration (.htaccess, Apache2), MySQL queries, WP-CLI, and Git version control Knowledge of WordPress Hooks & APIs and custom post types, and plugin architecture. Solid understanding of technical SEO implementation, including meta tags, schema markup, redirects, and sitemaps. Familiarity with SEO tools such as Yoast SEO. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience with version control systems like Git. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
