About the Role We are looking for a passionate and results-driven SDE II – Automation and Development Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The core focus of this role is to design and develop scalable automation frameworks, enhance backend logic, create REST APIs and solutions that reduce manual effort, improve system reliability, and streamline operational workflows. You will work extensively with tools like Selenium, Playwright, and custom scripting (primarily in Python and JavaScript) to automate key business processes and UI workflows. Experience with backend technologies such as Django, Next.js, and REST APIs is a strong plus and will be helpful in building and extending internal tools. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly improve productivity across teams and play a vital part in our platform’s stability and evolution. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust automation scripts and frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools. Automate end-to-end test cases and business workflows for various internal and external applications. Write clean, reusable, and modular code in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript. Integrate automation flows with APIs, databases, and internal tools. Build browser-based automation for functional UI validation and regression testing. Contribute to backend services and internal dashboards using Django, FastAPI, or Next.js (as needed). Debug and optimize automation failures, monitor reliability, and improve efficiency. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure test coverage and delivery stability. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and design discussions. Required Skills & Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on automation. Hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Puppeteer. Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM structure. Familiarity with REST APIs, backend validations and API testing. Experience with version control systems like Git, and continuous integration tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
